1. Name and location of my U3A: Cardigan (Aberteifi means mouth of the Teifi in Welsh) is a small market town in the county of Ceredigion (formerly Cardiganshire) in West Wales. It lies on the estuary of the River Teifi, at the point where Ceredigion meets Pembrokeshire. Cardigan sits on Cardigan Bay and is approximately 55 miles northwest of Swansea.

2. How many members? Our U3A was formed in 2005. Our membership is just over 200 and growing steadily.

3. Range of activities. Like most U3As, we have**a regular monthly meeting with a guest speaker. We have 19 interest groups and several more are in the pipeline. For further information please visit our WordPress.org website: http://cardiganu3a.org.uk/

4. What I like about my U3A. It allows retired people to use their "little grey cells" in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, without the pressure of having to pass exams in their chosen subjects. In addition it allows both local people and newcomers to meet others with a shared interest and develop new friendships.
