Pontesbury Rea Valley U3A

Where we are: From Shrewsbury, the Rea valley travels south west to the South Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Pontesbury is one of the largest villages in the valley.
Membership: In just two years we have rapidly grown to 180 members, all very active.
 

Interest Groups: 21 so far, and more on the way. These include Art History and Appreciation,
Astronomy, Cafe Society, Cinema and Social, English, Family History, Folk Music, Gardening and Garden Visits, Geology, History, Italian, Local History, Painting and Drawing, Play Reading, Social Cycling, Table Tennis, Tai Chi, 2 Walking Groups, and Writing.

 

Comment: All members and guests are welcomes at our Open Meetings, visitors can just turn up or write beforehand. These take place on a Wednesday afternoon every other month. More social activities are listed on the News/Events page. Each member receives a monthly newsletter, Reflections, listing group activities, new initiatives and contact details.
