Prof François Vellas, AIUTA President had a meeting in Malaga (Spain) last june 14th with Yannick Ducros, lecturer at Guayaquil University (2016). Yannick Ducros will assist AIUTA to establish cooperation with Ecuador U3As and will participate to new research programme on Creative Economic and Seniors.

A protest march to draw attention to World Elder Abuse Awareness Day took place at Visakhapatnam Andhra Pradesh India, monitored by a united forum of all the Senior Citizen Associations in Vizag.

Members of U3A, Shri Yechury SN Moorty, Savaram Ramakrishna Rao, Shri Kotturi Mangapathi, Senior Citizen organisations, SBI Pensioners' Association, Sneha Sandy's Help Age Foundation and other senior citizen welfare organisations were represented in a Marathon Walk on Beach Road, on 15/06/2017 at 06.00 am where around 100 senior citizen members took part.

Dr. A. Parsuramen, the Founder and President of Global Rainbow Foundation and members of Global Rainbow Foundation organised a five-day Memory Training course for the first time in Mauritius. The Course Leader was Ms Dana Steinova (left), who is a professional memory trainer and founder of many organisations. She is the 'Pass It On' representative for the Czech Republic and Armoogum Parsuramen is the representative for Mauritius.

"Memory Training is a unique way of how to compensate the imperfection of the brain with mnemonics for the healthy ones but we also have to equip the future trainers with the tools of how to work with people who already suffer from cognitive impairment. That is why half of the course is based on work with long term memory."
