HISTORY GROUPS

Fordham University of New York is the home of the Internet History Sourcebooks Project -- a collection of public domain and copy-permitted historical texts presented cleanly (without advertising or excessive layout) for educational use. Primary sources are available here primarily for use in high-school and university/college courses. From the outset the site took a very broad view of the sources that should be available to students and as well as documents long associated with a "western civilization" approach to history also provides much information on Byzantine, Islamic, Jewish, Indian, East Asian, and African history. You will also find many documents relevant to women's history and LGBT studies.

EUROPEAN UNION - ERASMUS 80+

Europe is facing a "longevity revolution", as the number of very old people will increase in the coming decades: In 2060 every 8th person will be at the age of 80 and above. Some older people have significant care needs and/or are not interested in remaining actively engaged in society.

However, there is also an increasing number of very old people, who - despite functional limitations - are motivated to take on an active role in society and provide services for their community.
