U3A/AIUTA CHINA:
Prof François vellas, AIUTA President visits on wednesday april 13th U3A Jinan in Shandong Porvince (China) with a delegation from the United Nations World Tourism Organisation. The purpose is to develop Shandong Porvince as an exemple for senior tourism products. Some proposal will be discussed in the future such as annual AIUTA international seminar to support tourism initiatives for seniors such as the experience to be implemented in Tunisia this year.

Le Professeur François Vellas a visité l'U3A de Jinan (Chine) le mercredi 13 avril avec une délégation de l'Organisation Mondiale du Tourisme. L'objet est de développer la destination de la province de Shandong (Chine) en tant qu'exemple de développement des produits touristiques pour les séniors. Plusieurs propositions sont actuellement discutées dont l'organisation d'un séminaire international de l'AIUTA sur ce thème avec une périodicité annuelle de façon à assurer un suivi des initiatives développer au niveau international comme c'est le cas actuellement en Tunisie.

COMPTON VERNEY ART GALLERY AND PARK in Warwickshire, UK, are keeping up their very interesting programme, as you can see above. Also featured is a talk, 'Museums at Night' on Friday 13 May, 5.30pm – 8.30pm, a Shakespeare-themed Museums event. Explore the atmospheric exhibition Shakespeare in Art, see a screening of 1968 ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ starring Judi Dench, Helen Mirren and Diana Rigg and hear a Shakespeare expert talk about ‘Shakespeare and the Emotions’.
Wikimedia UK in partnership with the Learning and Work Institute is hosting a half-day Education Event in Leicester on May 21st. The event is designed to take open education forward across the schools, further education, higher education and adult education sectors

This free event is for existing Wikimedia volunteers and educators who are interested in finding out how Wikimedia projects can support learning and learners.

The event will include presentations and workshops, and is open to anyone in the education sector who would like to explore the possibility of developing pilot projects with Wikimedia UK. Wikimedians with an interest in education are also very welcome. Have a look at the programme and register on the Eventbrite page and there are a limited number of travel bursaries available.

Learning through COURSERA: By Dr P Vyasamoorthy.
Harry is the epitome of a lifelong learner, but his story has a poignant twist - he’s currently fighting cancer. Although he’s not able to do many of the things that he used to love, like hiking in the mountains of Colorado, he’s finding joy each day by taking courses on Coursera.

I’m incredibly inspired by what he’s been able to achieve - he’s completed some very advanced science, mathematics, and computer science courses, taking some of them multiple times, all for the simple delight of learning new things and connecting with other like-minded learners around the world. Dr Pradeep Sinha of U3A Allahabad recently gave a talk on U3A achievements to a conference of the All-India Senior Citizens Confederation (AISCCON).


Members and invitees of IS U3As SZ, AP Unit Visakhapatnam, met at Beach Road, Opp. to "Tower of Victory at Sea 1971", Visakhapatnam on Saturday the 16th. April 2016 at 6.30 AM and dispersed at 7.30 PM after having a cup of Coffee.

Four more persons have evinced interest to join. We discussed the course of action to mobilize members first in Visakhapatnam, then in North Andhra Dist.s and then to other places of Andhra Pradesh. Shri K.V.Sastri has designed the banner and is working to mobilize the members.

Senior Citizens Council of Delhi in association with Shri Ram Katha Samiti, Dakshini Delhi organized Shri Ram Katha cum- teachings on moral values in day to day life by Pujya Sant Shri Vijay Kaushal ji Maharaj at Siri Fort Auditorium between 17th and 24th April, 2016 from 04:30pm to 07:30pm in which more than 35000 devotees/senior citizens across Delhi-NCR availed the blessings. Kaushal ji Maharaj also felicitated Shri J.R. Gupta in recognition to his motivation of Senior Citizens in a very large number during these days.

J.R. Gupta, President of the Council thanked Maharaj Shree for sharing such wonderful thoughts/teachings among the devotees and requested audience to follow the same in their life which will lead them to live with harmony and peace.
