There can be very few who do not know this face by now. Sixteen-year-old Greta Thunberg tore into the assembled Presidents and Prime Ministers (except for absentee President Trump of course) at the United Nations. "You come to us young people for hope! How dare you!" This remarkable girl and her millions of supporters across the world is turning out to be the greatest challenge to the established world order since Karl Marx published "Das Kapital".

But is she right to stir up trouble with her pronouncements? And what can an extra two degrees of warmth in the year 2050 have to do with us?

Prof Francois Vellas, AIUTA President had meeting on Wedensday 4 September 2019 in Athens with Elias Foutsis, President NYC Athens, Nikos Mistriotis AIUTA GB Member and Prof Harry Cocossis. New U3A programs to seniors will be scheduled from October 2019 in coordination with U3A Toulouse and AIUTA U3As in Europe.

Greek Universities and Tourism Professionals will participate to next WSTC 2020 thanks to Prof Harry Cocossis preparing tourism associations and universities groups.

The aging of the world is happening fast. Americans 65 and older are now 16% of the population and will make up 21% by 2035. At that point, they will outnumber those under 18. In China the large numbers of people born before the one-baby policy was introduced in 1979 are swelling the ranks of older people, even as younger age groups shrink. Other countries are even older. Japan leads - more than a quarter of its population is 65 or older - but Germany, Italy, Finland, and much of the rest of the European Union aren't far behind. AISCCON, an apex National body representing more than 2 million senior citizens, announces the election of a new President, Shri Inder Mohan Bhalla. AISCCON represents 29 states of INDIA and consults with Government of India for improving the living conditions for Elders who are below the poverty line.

Indian Society of U3A, Udaipur, has an MOU with AISCCON while U3A India Bangalore is an institutional member. While congratulating Mr Bhalla, U3A Signpost hopes that U3A activity in India also will get a boost.

A unique U3A has been set up in Singapore - U3A Duxton Hill. It is a department within a corporation to cater to its staff and friends. The objective is to share knowledge and experience in holistic health and happiness, and related social issues in Singapore.

Some members may not be in full-time employment; others in part-time work may be involved in communal or public service activities outside their regular jobs. Quilling is an old craft that has been popular at various times in history. It is becoming popular again and is a craft well-suited for all ages. It was originally known as paper filigree or paper rolling and dates back centuries.
