U3A Hawaii is part of the worldwide 'University of the Third Age' community.

It's an organization which primarily serves the social needs of the elderly segment of our population. Its motto is 'Learn, Laugh and Live'. With a lifetime of experience, everyone can contribute to the common good whether it be educational, mirthful or just practical. The u3a provides a ready mechanism for this interplay of talents and personalities. After all, you can't beat the experience!

U3A Hawaii operates a series of interest groups and larger projects such as info centers for elderly concerns. There are no costs for any service, including membership fees. When appropriate, courses will become available but again without any costs, and access to U3A Communities Study Groups is completely free.
